She is the protagonist of the story and the novel is all about how things soon change in her life and she finds herself in troubled waters by the aggression of Vivek Grewal. Vivek Grewal is a shark at a consulting firm and his mission is to orchestrate an acquisition that nobody could foresee. He smells blood and circles in for the kill- a faltering IGL team.
Adding to this plot is an unlikely combo of two powerhouses- a billionaire investor and an IGL team's captain. The story is a great cocktail of raw ambition, unwavering ideals, vengeful betrayal, consuming love and notorious scandals.
After her first novel, 'Live From London' which happened to be a Chick Lit., the author has now moved on to a bit matured genre in her upcoming novel 'Powerplay – The Game is On. Parinda Joshi describes about her own second novel as a 'grown up' in an interview with Dr Roopleen. She also adds that, “My first was a light read geared towards young women. The new one has an exciting premise and a very topical subject. I think a large number of readers across age groups and genres will be able to relate to it. It's a bit more grown up than my first. I know I'm stealing J. K. Rowling's thunder when I use the phrase 'grown up' but it really is true!"
