Jeffrey can write a bestselling story on himself. He was born in London, brought up in Somerset. He was the son of printer, and had his education completed from Wellington School, and Brasenose College, Oxford. After being selected to the Greater London Council, at the age of 29 he was then elected as the Member of Parliament for Louth. He was also sent to jail during this course and then left the House of Commons. He began his career at the age of 34 as a novelist where Not a Penny More, Not a Penny less was his first novel and was sold heavily in 17 countries in a year. He then went on writing books with the five-book saga called The Clifton Chronicles being his latest project.
