Raghu Ram of the Roadies fame especially known as one of the 'Twin Whips' of the show along with his twin brother Rajiv, has penned down his real life story in the book 'Rearview: My Roadies Journey'. Raghu Ram is the man who changed reality TV in India with his show Roadies that started in 2000.

On 14th November, 2013, Raghu Ram tweeted that “After a lifetime of preparation, my book is finally about to come out!” Raghu is known to be brutally honest and tongue-in-cheek television personality and now with this book he exposes his struggles, his highs and lows of life and how he got here till making Roadies, one of the most popular show on Indian Television. There was once a boy scrawny, weak, easily intimidated, voice unbroken at fifteen, who was bullied consistently through his childhood. The book also gives insights onto his childhood and his life's love story. “ This is the story of how that boy became the man he is today: part-time singer, song-writer and jammer, full-time producer, camera man and editor.”

“If even one person gets inspired with my writing, my purpose of writing an autobiography would be solved,” says Raghu, talking further about the book he says “This book has three parts — the first contains details of my birth, school and college days, successes and failures and an attempt to commit suicide. In the second part, I have talked about my career, having begun as a spot boy and gone on to be the director of a show like Roadies. The third part has interesting, behind-the-scenes highlights of Roadies that nobody knows about and facets about my personal life and love life,” 

Raghu also confessed in one of the interviews that he was “never a TV or film person” and therefore he always wanted to write a book that would share his life's story with the world. Recently, Raghu is involved with the Aam Aadmi Party and is campaigning for this political party strongly.
