Bihar, once considered the poorest state of India has witnessed a stunning development ever since Nitish Kumar first became the CM of the state in 2005. In fact, Bihar with figure of 10.9 percent GDP growth has now over-thrown Gujarat in the pace of growth and development. Bihar Breakthrough: The Turnaround of A Beleaguered State is written by the famous financial expert Rajesh Chakrabarti. The book tells a truthful record of the infrastructure development and the revolutionary changes that occurred in Bihar in the past few years.
As per the Planning Commission of India Bihar was the slowest growing state in the year 2001-05 with GDP of 2.9% but between 2006 to 2010 the GDP swelled up to 10.9% making it the fastest growing state of the country. Hence, shedding its bad tag of being a BIMARU state.
This revolutionary change occurred only under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. As promised by him, he brought in Sushaashan (good governance) for the people of Bihar. It was his efforts that pulled the state out from going into the verge of anarchy and brought about law, peace and order. This book Bihar Breakthrough focuses on these strategies, the policies, and the actions that he took to make Bihar reach where it is now.
In Bihar Breakthrough the Turnaround of a Beleaguered State, Rajesh Chakrabarti looks into the leadership style, governance methods, political management and encouragement of Nitish's government. What Nitish Kumar could achieve for the state is almost a miracle and this book captures the entire process of how he managed to do it and change the state in leaps and bounds. It is a detailed account of the revival of the state governance. It is a must read book for all and especially an inspirational learning lesson for the politicians, governments and organizations in India and abroad.

Dan Brown sets the ball rolling again for his famous fictional character Robert Langdon in his upcoming novel Inferno. In his previous international bestsellers like 'The DaVinci Code', 'Angels & Demons', and 'The Last Symbol' Brown has skillfully fused history, art, symbols, and crypts that Prof. Robert Langdon decodes and unravels the mystery. Yet again in Inferno, Prof. Langdon will revive the same magic of mystery and symbols, only this time it will get much better.
The title of this book was revealed on Facebook and Twitter in a typically Dan Brown style of symbols and crypts. Thousands of Brown's fans filled up a social media photo-mosaic using Facebook and Twitter to reveal the title Inferno to the worldwide audience. A couple of days back the Cover Jacket of the book was released by Doubleday in the U.S.A. When asked about the cover, Mike Windsor, the Art Director for Brown's Inferno told,
"The central image is of Dante Alighieri. Since his work is the catalyst for Langdon's adventure and he is such a monumental figure in literature I felt he had to be on the jacket. Plus, using a historical figure represented in a painting of his time firmly puts the reader in Dan Brown territory. The cityscape of Florence is to give the reader a sense of location… hidden behind the burnt and ripped background, which has become a sort of staple with Dan's jackets. It adds an element of mystery… Like you are discovering something just under the surface. And of course there are the rings in the background and over the image of Dante that represent hell."
So far all we know is that the book is based in Florence, Italy and the tile is borrowed from the classic literature called Divine Comedy by Dante. The first part of this long epic poem by Dante is called Inferno meaning Hell. Brown says that "Although I studied Dante's 'Inferno' as a student, it wasn't until recently, while researching in Florence, that I came to appreciate the enduring influence of Dante's work on the modern world. With this new novel, I am excited to take readers on a journey deep into this mysterious realm...a landscape of codes, symbols, and more than a few secret passageways."
The book is all about how "In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology, Robert Langdon, is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history's most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces . . . Dante's Inferno."

Taleb has been titled the bestselling author of The Black Swan in which he spoke of how to benefit from disorders. This book spoke of problems but Antifragile talks of solutions of how to overcome uncertainties, shocks and face life filled disasters. According to him things are built in an antifragile manner thus it becomes desirable and very necessary to achieve it. Antifragile teaches us how to tackle problems and find solutions to problems we have never heard or faced before. He says it better to be dumb and antifragile than to be intelligent and fragile.
We come across maximum breakthroughs in our lives when we try to innovate something new and so some trials and make some errors. This is a part of antifragility. There are many things from which we learn to make changes and take precautions from the past events. The sinking Titanic made us more careful in making ships stronger and safer. Why stress on bones is important to make us stronger? Why should one write a resignation letter on their first day in the office? Why should we detest the lack of accountability at the heart of capitalism?
Those who are intelligent, smart and successful will be smart enough to learn from previous problems and take it to their advantage to create a master piece for the future and make things beyond imaginations. Antifragile is all about learning to live and strive hard in this world of new things and inventions that we never heard of before.
